Women's Espoir & Men's Futures Programs
The Women's Espoir and Men's Futures Programs work in conjunction with the respective Sr. National Team Program and are designed to help provide elite young female and male athletes with increased opportunities to train and compete with the potential to play internationally, as well as receive top coaching.
The Wheelchair Basketball Canada Espoir and Futures Programs serve as a development pipeline to the Sr. National Teams. Many women and men who participate in the programs go on to represent Canada as members of the [Sr. Women's National Team] and the [Sr. Men's National Team].
In 2011, the Espoir Program presented the first-ever [Women's U25 National Team]. The team competed at the inaugural Women's U25 World Wheelchair Basketball Championships in St. Catharines, Ontario.
