JUNIORS
A Junior Conference was introduced in the 1993-94 season to give younger players a chance to compete against top junior age athletes from other cities. This initiative has complimented the Wheelchair Basketball Canada / [Canada Games] program development. Currently the cycle for Junior development is hinged upon the [Canada Games] quadrennial. In Year 1 and 2, provinces compete in Junior East / Junior West Regional Championships. Year 3, provinces become more concentrated on their Canada Games team competing at the Junior National Championships which double as a Canada Games seeding tournament. Year 4, the final year of the quadrennial is the Canada Winter Games where Wheelchair Basketball has competed since 1995.
