SWNT heads to Winnipeg for camp

Twelve athletes will participate in a five-day camp at the Sport Manitoba Performance Centre

Wheelchair Basketball Canada announced 12 athletes will participate in the Senior Women’s National Team training camp from June 3-7 at the Sport Manitoba Performance Centre in Winnipeg.

The five-day camp will include on-court practices and off-court team-building activities as the Senior Women’s National Team prepares for the 2024 Paralympic Games (Aug. 28-Sept. 8).

“This camp will allow our staff to make final athlete evaluations before making the roster selection for the 2024 Paris Games,” said Jeff Dunbrack, Wheelchair Basketball Canada High Performance Director. “The five days give our athletes and coaches a chance to build chemistry on and off the court as we prepare for the Paralympics.”
